Prevention of Mother To Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT)

It has been noted by the world health programs that HIV is a leading cause of death for women of reproductive age worldwide and a major contributor to infant mortality. PMTCT strategies reduce the risk of mother-to-infant transmission.PMTCT is a gateaway for HIV prevention, treatment, care and support for the whole family. 

To achieve this goal and to reduce the risk of mother-to-child HIV transmission CRISS Project working with the County Health Managment Team (CHMTs) work to provide a Continnum of Care representing a comprehensive range of prevention, treatment, and care services for preganant women and thier infants during preganncy, labor, delivery and beyond.
