Care and Treatment

In recent years, great advances in HIV care and treatment have allowed many people living with HIV to regain their health, live longer, and plan their futures. As simpler and less expensive antiretroviral treatment regimens have become more readily available, our programs have expanded to assist many people living with HIV to access the care and treatment they need.

In Kiambu and Kirinyaga Counties with support from the PEPFAR fund, CRISS Project has trained HIV-positive people as peer educators who along with health workers provide comprehensive care and support to large numbers of people living with HIV. CRISS Project has also introduced its quality improvement approaches to help strengthen HIV services in both counties.
